US $25000 or its equivalent per person per trip irrespective of period of stay for business travel.

Yes. Travellers undertaking visits with foreign hospitality can draw foreign exchange at the rate of U.S.$50 per day for a maximum period of 45 days with a minimum of U.S. $500. Authorised dealers may release exchange at a higher scale for a longer duration provided the need therefor is established.
- Can a traveller draw exchange in excess of the per diem scale for business etc./ incidental expenses or for a period of stay beyond 45 days without prior permission of the Reserve Bank ?
Yes. Authorised dealers have been permitted to release exchange in excess of the prescribed scales and/or duration of the visit abroad provided they are satisfied about the bona fides of the application and the need for release of exchange in excess of the prescribed scales. However, FFMCs are not authorised to release exchange in excess of the prescribed scales.
- Can travellers make use of International Credit Cards (ICCs) for meeting their travel expenses abroad ?
Yes. However, since the use of International Credit Cards involves reimbursement of expenses to the overseas organisation, persons desirous of using International Credit Cards have to designate a branch of an authorised dealer through which the claims received from overseas organisations will be settled. They are also required to submit a post-trip declaration for the exchange drawn against the International Credit Card to the designated bank branch and comply with other conditions laid down by the Reserve Bank in this regard.
